Seating Options
While we can’t guarantee seating in a specific area, you're welcome to add a request when making your reservation—we’ll always do our best to accommodate. Chef’s Counter seating is clearly labeled on both Resy and OpenTable, but please note these seats often book out several weeks in advance.
Outdoor Dining
Covered Porch
If you’re from the south, you know all about enjoying a beautiful meal with people you love out on the porch! Our covered, wraparound porch is the perfect place to do just that. Not only will you be completely covered from the rain, we also have heaters for the winter months and fans for those humid summer nights.
Garden Terrace
Tucked alongside our building, the garden terrace offers a charming outdoor dining experience, complete with gas lanterns, bistro lights, and lush seasonal blooms. A transparent awning provides cover while still allowing for starlit evenings, and the space transforms with the seasons—fully enclosed and heated in the winter, open-air with cooling fans in the summer. It’s one of our favorite places to dine.
First Floor Dining
Chef's Counter
Get a front-row seat to all the action at our Chef’s Counter. These kitchen-facing, padded stools offer an immersive dining experience, perfect for guests who love to watch our culinary team at work over live fire. It’s the best view in the house for those who want to savor both the food and the craft behind it.
Downstairs Dining Room
Our small downstairs dining room consists of only three tables and sits just behind the Chef’s Counter. Senses will be stimulated with the beautiful aromas and sounds that flow from the open live-fire kitchen while enjoying dinner at a table with your party.
Second Floor Dining
Bar
The bar at Southbound is always first-come, first-served. To check availability or join the waitlist, please see our maître d’ at the entrance. We offer a bar-only happy hour daily from 5–6 PM, featuring our signature Southbound Burger—available exclusively at the bar. Find more details here.
High Top
Our upstairs high tops sit in the bar area just at the top of the stairs. It’s a lively atmosphere located just adjacent to the bar. If you want a semi social environment with great people watching, our high tops are a great option!
Upstairs Dining Room
The tables in our upstairs dining room offer the most traditional dining experience in the restaurant. This area is a bit quieter than the other indoor spaces. If you are looking to enjoy dinner with family or you're celebrating a special occasion with friends, it might be the best option for you.
Balcony
Our upstairs balcony offers one of the most charming and tranquil dining experiences at Southbound. With just three small tables overlooking the lush courtyard below, it’s an ideal setting for intimate conversation and a peaceful escape from the bustle of the city.
